Created in the year 2022, Shakhsiyat came to life on an iPad over months. It was the artist’s first work on that hard-earned medium after doing it with a mouse on a laptop for years. Hence, so special.
This artwork is inspired by Mamta Sharma Das (Founder & Lifestyle Influencer) popularly known as “The Boho Baalika”.
This is inspired by a shoot picture of Mamta for the Indian designer Ayush Kejriwal with their Co-founder Ayushi Kejriwal.
Why SHAKHSIYAT?
All of us have come across people who carry themselves a certain way. How they carry an aura of their own which cannot be breached by anyone around them. It could be junk jewellery or heavy Sindoor, a soft linen saree or kolhapuris with a pant. You can never predict them.
Sometimes it is that aura that we create that makes our personality ahead of them all, distinct from them all. A face of your own in the whole wide world. Both these women have very distinct styles of their own & each carries their personalities very uniquely.
One likes to adorn prints and raw cloth stitches of the handlooms while the other considers her body to be the canvas & flaunts her stitches on her wound as an accessory.
